    Dr. Akinwumi Adesina urges for more American investment in Africa’s Agricultural sector.

    Dr Akinwunmi Adesina, President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), commented on the huge wealth-creating agric sector primed to unleash new economic opportunities and lift hundreds of millions of people out of poverty in Africa.

    This statement was made at the recently completed 94th United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Outlook Forum in Virginia themed ‘Root of Prosperity’. 

    According to him, the prospect of agribusinesses in Africa is expected to reach 1trillion USD in 2030, therefore, emphasizing the huge economic potential in the continent.

    He concluded his discussion by promising that AfDB will be a frontier of transformative agribusiness and initiatives.
