    Oyo to Host Agric And Mineral Resources Trade Fair

    Better Together Africa, BTG Africa has disclosed that the second edition of South–West Local Government Agricultural and Mineral Resources Trade Fair will hold in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital between September 2 and 11, 2022.

    Better Together Africa, BTG Africa has disclosed that the second edition of South–West Local Government Agricultural and Mineral Resources Trade Fair will hold in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital between September 2 and 11, 2022.

    Co-founder of BTG, Delight Owoyemi, at the unveiling of the project in Ibadan said the first edition was held in Osun state with huge success, and expressed optimism that the fair will create wealth and employment in Oyo state as host of the second edition.

    Present at the unveiling were chairmen of local governments in the state, representatives of Osun, Ondo, Ekiti and Ogun states, partners of project, as well as former Nigeria ambassador to Philipines, Yemi Faronbi and other dignitaries.

    The state governor, Seyi Makinde was represented by his executive assistant, Idowu Ogedengbe, who noted that the state has several mineral resources in all its council areas waiting to be tapped and that the state government considered the fair as a link to economic development plan.

    “Our target focus is on critical sector that will boost the Gross Domestic Product of the state. We have massive arable land so we are repositioning our agricultural development plan to attract critical stakeholders in the sector”.
