It could be recalled that on Nov. 30, 2016, the FG kicked off the distribution of phones with embedded Agric app to rice farmers.
The app, known as “RICEADVICE” available on the distributed smartphones were given to selected farmers in Nasarawa, Kogi, Kano, Ebonyi, Kebbi and Niger state where rice is said to be produced at a comparative advantage and hopes to serve the purpose of E-extension workers.
The festival coordinator, Mr. Shuaibu Kere-Ahmed, said the radio station will use its vast reach to connect to a wider audience and pave way for technological progress.
Those present at the event were the representative of the Governor, Permanent secretary in the ministry of Agriculture, representative of the Emir of Suleja, Engr. Sanu Ndanusa and a host of others.
Radio Kaduna also hosts a programme on their station to teach farmers best agricultural practices as a way of contributing their quota to the development of the agricultural sector.
