Stakeholders in agricultural sector have pointed out the need for various players in food production and the entire value chain as a whole to collaborate and work together to achieve food security in the country.
This called was made at a program organized by the Hope for Life Initiative (HLI), which is the fifth edition organized by the NGO to commemorate the World Food Day celebration in collaboration with Federal Institute of Industrial Research Oshodi (FIIRO),NAFDAC, Sterling Bank, AFREXIMBANK, Nigerian American Chambers of Commerce, Ajinomoto among others.
The target of HLI is to impact the lives of less privileged children and women by equip children who suffer from untold hardship to be successful individuals and citizens and also empower women especially, widows to be self-reliant.

Kendi Aig-Imoru, Founder/Executive Director, Hope for Life Initiative, at the program said that the the organization is keen about food security feel that the world food day is a platform to reach out to people and ensure that they understand the need to protect environment for food sufficiency.
Dr. Kenton Dashiell Deputy Director General for Partnership for Delivery, IITA, represented by Godwin Atser, Communication and Knowledge Exchange Expert, IITA said partnership is very important to achieve food security, adding that, the key driver to all what IITA has been able to achieve is partnership from donators, government and non-government organisations.

Professor Mojisola Adeyeye, Director General of NAFDAC, who was represented by Anthony Abah, Assistant Director in NAFDAC, stated that NAFDAC is always ready to partner and collaborate with any organization on anything that has to do with food products.
