    Jubaili Collaborates With ACU Seeds To Improve Farmers Productivity

    Jubaili Agrotech Limited, a leading agricultural firm and a provider of agricultural inputs specializes in pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, food additives, and other products is set to collaborate with the Ajayi Crowther University seed company (ACU Seeds),  to provide consultancy services and products to farmers to increase agricultural productivity.

    Jubaili Agrotech Limited, a leading agricultural firm and a provider of agricultural inputs specializes in pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, food additives, and other products is set to collaborate with the Ajayi Crowther University seed company (ACU Seeds),  to provide consultancy services and products to farmers to increase agricultural productivity.

    Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Timothy Adebayo, during the visitation of Jubaili team noted that the university is willing to partner Jubaili in many ways such as organization of joint exhibitions, and that they can get chemicals from the company since the institution has a mini ranch, acres of cassava, nursery and other things.

    The Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof W.B Akanbi, while addressing Jubaili team, revealed that ACU SEEDS has palm, horticultural and ornamental crops, adding that it would soon go into production of other crops.

    ACU Advocates for Quality Seeds to Attain Food Sufficiency

    Also speaking was Dr Moses Adebayo, the ACU SEEDS Breeder, noted that the bulk of seed companies in Nigeria are in the northern part, noting that insecurity has largely made it difficult for them to supply farmers in other parts of Nigeria with quality seed to aid better harvest.

    Adebayo intimated their visitors that the seed company of the institution has unique maize, fortified with Vitamin A, which the university would launch into the market next month.

    AFAN Takes a Stand Against Rice Seed Importation

    The Jubaili team led by Ali Majeed Suleima, an agricultural engineer, appreciated the institution for the warmth welcome and for agreeing to collaborate with the firm.

    Suleima who heads the Technical and Sales Unit, disclosed that the company has chemicals that can protect the plant even before the cultivation, stating that both firms would benefit from the partnership as they work together over time.

    At the end, both parties agreed to hold joint exhibition before the beginning of planting seasons, to educate farmers what to do before starting a new farming season.
