    ARMTI Trains 766 Farmers

    Executive Director at the Agricultural and Rural Management Training Institute (ARMTI), Dr. Olufemi Oladunni, reaffirmed his institute’s commitment to reducing poverty through Agriculture.

    The training would focus on promoting the adoption of improved production practices and would also involve a roll out of farmer-centric agricultural services across Nigeria.

    He said aside the technical skills taught, it will also afford local farmers the opportunity of coming together, sharing experiences and discussing best farming practices.

    Olufemi said the institute helps to make farming a viable livelihood option while he was addressing farmers from Kaduna and Katsina State at a workshop held for them in Abuja.

    He further commended the Kaduna and Katsina states’ agricultural development programme (ADP) for their assistance to the programme.

    The workshop will see to the training of 766 farmers and another 114 making it a total of 880 trained farmers.
