Mr Sayina Riman, national president of the Cocoa Association of Nigeria (CAN), has condemned the multiplicity of revenue points in Calabar, Cross River State during a courtesy visit paid to the Deputy Governor, Professor Ivara Esu.
He noted that Cross River is the highest cocoa producing state in the country with the best quality beans, partnership would not stop with the state in production and boosting of cocoa, Riman promised. The farmers said their reasons for being in Calabar was to make the government recognise the effects of multiplicity of revenue points.

Professor Esu has outlined the plans that in few years, cocoa would be a major crop for exportation as the state makes it a major revenue earner.
Any form of problem that could lay the industry into crisis and revenue disaster was condemned by him as he said that government would not allow any individuals to damage the development process. He was of high hope that the meeting would bring the industry to a higher level from the result of the meeting.
