Roland Omorosemi, Chief Executive Officer, Dreamfield Farms Limited explained how more than half of farm produces have been lost by Nigerian farmers to lack of proper storage facilities.
This took place at the opening of the firm’s N12 million state-of-arts juice and salad bar in Lagos. Government intervention at all levels have been called upon in order to implement storage facilities at strategic points to prevent food wastage across the country.
The vision behind the Dreamfield Juice and Salad bar was borne out of commitment to promote good health in Nigeria, Ayodele Omorosemi, Director of the company has remarked.

“We thought that since we are into farming, we can introduce fresh products to our customers with no preservatives. A lot of people have had health issues due to their intake and as you can see we are officially open with customers coming in for a treat.
We are coming out in a unique way and not competing with other eateries. We want to be seen as a bar for healthy foods. We are doing everything raw and adding no preservatives to our juice.”
He further said “We want to build a brand and want people to know us for fresh foods at affordable prices. Lack of storage facilities is one of the greatest burdens to farmers where most of them lose their produce as a result of poor or no storage facilities. To address this challenge we had to get an industrial refrigerator to make our food come out fresh and healthy.”
